Marie Sylla-Dixon is Vice President of Federal Government and External Affairs for T-Mobile USA. Marie represents the company before Members of the United States Congress and helps to direct the legislative strategy for both the House and Senate on a myriad of issues such as spectrum, competition policy, infrastructure, internet and broadband regulation, privacy and consumer protection. Marie also manages the company’s relationships with strategic third-party organizations, including those representing various consumer interests, think-tanks and business industry associations.

Marie started her wireless industry career as Corporate Counsel with T-Mobile. Her experience includes serving as Vice President for Government Relations for Verizon Communications where she played a leading role on telecommunications and video policy matters.

Prior to her career in the telecommunications industry Marie was Director of Government Relations and Counsel for the Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association (IEMA) where she served as spokesperson for the video gaming industry making appearances on Fox News Channel, NPR and other news outlets.

Marie started her policy career as a legislative assistant to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She was recently appointed By Chairman Pai to serve on the Federal Communications Commission Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment. She is a founding board member of the Global Women’s Innovation Network. She serves on the National Urban League’s Policy Council and was a member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Advisory Board. Marie also serves on the board of City Year Washington, DC.

Marie has received numerous corporate and external affairs awards including the T-Mobilizer award from the company’s CEO and Peake Award. She also received the 2013 City Year Idealist Award for community service in the District of Columbia. She was also awarded with the Most Influential and Inspiring Leadership Award by Rainbow Push. Recently she was recognized as a top lobbyist by the political publication the Hill.

Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Hampton University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University.
