Emily has directed social impact programs at Columbia for more than a decade, connecting the research institution and local K-12 schools. At the School of Engineering since 2014, she has designed and created a suite of innovative programs that support STEM education and inspires science learning. Emily has a BA from Columbia University, an MA from Humboldt University of Berlin, an MEd from Teachers College, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Silicon Harlem is a social venture that has been designed to transform Harlem in to a technology and innovation hub. This includes establishing co-working spaces, gigabit infrastructure, securing investment capital, and hosting monthly meetups.
